When & Where:
We will meet at The Way Community Church (1310 7th St. in Harlan, across from the Therkildsen Center). You can park on the street, in the lot off 7th street just north of the church, or at the Therkildsen Center. If you're not as familiar with downtown Harlan, 7th street is a one-way. The parking lot is before you get to the church. Come in the main door on 7th street (it's blue) and head downstairs. The basement opens up right off the bottom of the half flight of stairs, so you'll have no trouble finding class.
Class takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 7 pm. I encourage you to come about 15 minutes early to allow yourself to set up your mat and "land" a bit before we start.
My classes are "pay what you can." I never want financial pressures to be a barrier for people to be part of the Yoga to Love Our Bodies community. So, I've decided to let you set the price for class. A typical yoga class is around $10 at a studio, if you want a reference point. I'll have a container out and a Venmo option for you when you arrive, and you can contribute what is fair for you. I'm not going to monitor it so whether you throw in $1 or $100 (open invite!) or no dollars, you are welcome. 25 percent of proceeds will support The Way Community Church, our gracious host for class.
Other Key Information
Supplies: I will not have extra mats so please bring your own or borrow one from a friend. I do have blocks available. I don't cue anything for straps or bolsters, but you're welcome to bring them and incorporate as it works for you.Â
Experience Level: This class is truly for all bodies! I'll guide us through a series of gentle movements, and I'll provide various options for postures as we go. This won't be a chair yoga class per se, but you are welcome to use a chair (chairs will be available) and I'll provide guidance for chair modifications.
Communication: You can reach me by email at harlanyogaforall@gmail.com or on the Yoga to Love Our Bodies Facebook here. Follow the page to stay up on announcements and info about class.
Registration: you do not have to register for individual classes. If you are new to Yoga to Love Our bodies, you can register as a new student here. If I need to change the schedule or cancel class, I will post on Facebook by 5 pm the day of class. We have a lovely big space so class won't have a cap. Please feel free to invite others to join you!
